More than a pleasant smell
The (sweet) orange is the fruit of the citrus species Citrus sinensis in the family Rutaceae and it is also the hybrid between pomelo (Citrus maxima) and mandarin (Citrus reticulata). We often have this fruit in our kitchen but its essential oil has interesting properties.
Countries of Origin: Originally from China as it was imported to Europe in the 16th century. Colour: Yellow to Orange. Odour: Sweet and fruity. Extraction Method: by cold pressing the peel of the fruit.
