Lavender Essential Oil

Almost everyone loves lavender and remembers the scent by heart but does everyone know there are different varieties of lavender flowers and hence different types of lavender essential oils?

Indeed, many types of Lavender are available such as Aspic Lavender, Fine Lavender, Lavandin Grosso, Lavandin Phenomenal, ...

Fine Lavender from Provence (Lavandula angustifolia ssp. angustifolia)

This Lavender grows in the Alps of Haute-Provence and at a high altitude of 800 m to 1000-1200 m. With this famous variety, the produced essential oil has great quality.

Country of Origin: Provence (France)

Colour: Pale yellow

Odour: Sweet, floral

Extraction Method: Complete steam distillation of the flowerheads. In order to make 1 litre of essential oil, 130 kgs of flowers are needed.

The Fine Lavender essential oil is a must-have with the Tea tree essential oil. For those who don’t know, I use this essential oil to make Lavender soaps and shampoos. This essential oil is certified organic and also has the PDO certification. PDO means Protected Designation of Origin.
