A great option for a healthy and easy breakfast
Ready-made Granola can be very expensive especially if you aim for the organic one. It's really simple to make your own on a budget, even with organic ingredients. Take the below recipe as a guideline as you can replace the almonds with cashew nuts and raisins with chocolate chips for example. Then, you can get a custom granola or make a new combination every week, variations are almost endless. Hope this recipe will help you!
- 1 cup oat flakes - 1/3 cup (chopped) almonds - 1/3 cup (chopped) hazelnuts - 1 tablespoon chia seeds - 1 tablespoon sesame seeds - 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon - 1/3 cup vegetable oil (Coconut is my favourite for this recipe) - 1 tablespoon date syrup (you can also use agave syrup) - 1/3 cup raisins - 1/3 cup goji berries
1 - Mix the oats, almonds, hazelnuts, chia seeds, sesame seeds and the cinnamon. 2 - Add the vegetable oil and the date syrup. Mix well. 3 - Spread the mixture out evenly on the baking sheet. 4 - Bake in the oven at 150 degrees C for 20 minutes or until it's crispy and golden brown. Stir occasionally. 5 - Add the goji berries and the raisins. Mix well. 6 - Store the granola in a container for up to 2 weeks.
